鰻温泉は鹿児島県指宿市に実在する温泉です。看板の背景に白い漆喰を用いることで、鰻温泉の長い歴史を表現しました。看板の形は、鰻温泉にある鰻池の形を元にしています。
Unagi Onsen is a real hotsprings in Ibusuki-shi, Kagoshima, Japan. The sign’s background is made of white plaster, which expresses the long history of Unagi Onsen. The shape of the sign is based on the shape of the Lake Unagi at Unagi Onsen.
