架空のお土産デザイン「指宿市にようこそ！」
Fictional souvenir design “Welcome to Ibusuki-shi!”
コンセプト・アイデア / Concept and Idea
架空のお土産のデザインということで、パッと見ただけで指宿のお土産だと分かり、思わず手に取りたくなるデザインを目指しました。
As the design is for a fictional souvenir, we aimed for it to be recognizable at a glance as a souvenir from Ibusuki, making people want to pick it up.
デザイン過程 / Design Process
制作期間 – 5日間
まずは指宿市の花であるハイビスカスのブラシを自作し、全体的な枠として配置しました。そして中心には指宿の特産物であるカツオのイラストを、一度描き直した上でダイナミックに配置し、バランスを取るために指宿が北限であるツマベニチョウのイラストをすぐ傍に配置。カツオが温泉に入っていることを表現しようと考え、温泉の湯気と大きな石鹸の泡を描き加え、更にアジア各地で見られる和洋折衷のデザインを目指し、テキストには英語と日本語の両方を使うことに決めました。下の「鹿児島 – 指宿温泉 – 南九州」は列車の路線図をイメージしたデザインにし、「指宿温泉」の上には開聞岳のシルエットを添えています。
Production period – 5 days
First, I created a brush of hibiscus, the flower of Ibusuki-shi, and placed it as the overall frame. Then, in the center, I dynamically placed an illustration of bonito, a specialty of Ibusuki, after redrawing it once. To balance it, I placed an illustration of Great Orange Tip, whose northern limit is Ibusuki, right next to it. I wanted to express that the bonito is bathing in a hot spring, so I added steam from the hot spring and large soap bubbles. I also decided to use both English and Japanese for the text, aiming for a design that blends Japanese and Western styles that can be found in various parts of Asia. The design below, “Kagoshima – Ibusuki Onsen – Minami Kyushu,” is based on a train route map, and the silhouette of Kaimon-dake is added above “Ibusuki Onsen.”
使用したツールや技術 / Tools and Techniques used
Adobe Illustrator CC。ハイビスカスとリボンのアートブラシを自作し、石鹸の泡にはカリグラフィブラシを使いました。
Adobe Illustrator CC. I made my own hibiscus and ribbon art brushes, and used calligraphy brushes for the soap bubbles.
結果・成果 / Results and Outcomes
このポートフォリオで初公開。今後、Threads・Instagram・Caraなどで公開予定です。
This is the first time they are being shown in this portfolio. They will be released on Threads, Instagram, Cara, etc. in the future.
