コンセプト・アイデア / Concept and Idea
コンペのテーマ「未来を創る“CREATE THE FUTURE”」に沿って、「未来は全ての戦争が終わるだろう」という仮説をコンセプトにし、海外で「犬猿の仲」の象徴とされる「犬と猫」が和解し、世界中から兵器がなくなる未来をイメージして制作しました。
In line with the competition theme, “CREATE THE FUTURE,” the concept was based on the hypothesis that “in the future all wars will end,” and the work was created with the image of a future in which dogs and cats, which are considered symbols of bitter rivalry overseas, have reconciled and weapons have been eliminated from the world.
デザイン過程 / Design Process
制作期間 – 2週間
まず、白のTシャツにプリントされることを想定し、単色で制作することにしました。テキストの位置を決めた後、大枠には平和を象徴する白い鳩をモチーフに使用することを前提に、白い鳩がくわえることが多いオリーブの枝をアートブラシで作って配置。上半分には犬と猫のイラストを、下半分には折れた兵器のイラストをそれぞれ配置することで、平和の実現を表現しました。和洋折衷のデザインにしたかったので、笑顔のおかめの面と日本語のテキストも追加。テーマに引っ張られ重くなることのない、ポップなデザインを目指しました。
Production period – 2 weeks
First, I decided to create it in a single color, assuming it would be printed on a white T-shirt. After deciding on the position of the text, I decided to use a white dove, a symbol of peace, as the motif for the main frame, and created an olive branch, which white doves often hold, using an art brush and placed it there. By placing illustrations of dogs and cats in the upper half and illustrations of broken weapons in the lower half, I expressed the realization of peace. I wanted a design that combined Japanese and Western styles, so I also added a smiling Okame mask and Japanese text. I aimed for a pop design that wasn’t weighed down by the theme.

Adobe Illustrator CC / Adobe Photoshop CC。リボンやオリーブの枝を表現するためにアートブラシを使用しました。
